Over 80 players, parents and coaches attended the Queens Badminton Club Celebration evening on Friday 12th July at 6pm at the Waie Inn Zeal Monachorum.
The evening kicked off with a presentation on all the success stories and events that had occured over the last year including Dee Weiner winning medals at Cornwall and Dorset Disability Tournaments to Sarah Preece winning the Devon County Ladies Singles Tournament to be crowned Devon Ladies Singles Champion for the eighth time and Devon Adult Team captain.
Three players have trained to become Level 1 Coaches including:

Rowan Manning
Our out going Club Captain Morgan Vincent did a fantastic talk about the club and its values along with his best club player Sam Potter
The new Club Captain for the Season 2024-25 will be Boglaka Ungvari.
Rowan Manning a former Club Captaain returned from university to join the Celebration Evening and gave a fantastic talk on how sport inspired and helped him with the transition to university life.
There was also mention of the growing adult club which now offers coaching from Graham Fagg for all adult members to join and is going very well indeed.
Nick Masson Club Chairman thanked the parents for their brilliant support of the club, the players for turning up so regularly and the dedication of the outstanding coaching team. Nick said ‘Its an honour and priviledge to be involved with such exceptional people throughout the club and is already looking forward to next years event’
